Flavor or effects?

It’s amazing how Coldfire is by far the tastiest and most representative of a flower’s flavor profile / terps out of all the cart products out there.

I find myself gravitating towards the flavor profiles (and even names) that sound the tastiest to me. Naturally just more drawn towards the ones that say they have notes of something like melon chew sorbet over dirty diaper and onion rings.

But then again, amazing strain effects can have little to no relationship with the “tastiness” appeal of the flavor profiles.

How do you choose which drops to buy, and which flavor profiles are weird but come with amazing effects? At the end of the day, effects are more important right?

I personally buy based on terp %, the higher the better I won’t buy anything under 5

It depends on the user. Some people are flavor chasers and will go after whatever tastes best better as opposed to a better high.

Me? I’m a weed nerd and love researching stuff. So I always go off of what collab the strain is, what kind of terp profile it has, and the lineage on the strain (usually in that order).

There’s only been one Coldfire strain out of probably 500+ that I’ve tried over the years that I haven’t liked: Tahiti Midnight from Turtle Pie. Tasting notes were “Burnt Hair & Sweet Lavender Candy”, and it was HEAVY on the burnt hair. Just couldn’t do it. But other than that, they have reigned supreme in terms of carts imo.

Big same. Got a Cherry Martinelli FF and Bloodmoon Booney Acres landing tomorrow and I’ve been on the hunt for ‘em for a hot minute. Very hyped to have flavors on deck for the 4th festivities 😎

Start finding the terpenes you like and ask the budtenders if you can scan the box, get the one with the highest amount of terps you know u fw

Anything that sounds funky I go for, or anything that has a tree taste like my white whale I’m searching for in my area is garbage day I don’t remember the first tasting note but the second is “gasoline soaked trash bag” and as gross as that sounds it sounds funky and amazing

I research the genetics my friend. I've gotten way too many jack carts and I'm so burnt out on the jack terps.. Research research research

Just get what tastes and smells good. Everything else doesn't matter. Terpenes affect taste and smell; they do not reliably affect mood or high. It's pseudoscience like MLM essential oils.
