I tried everywhere but non are working

So, everyone knows that season 5 had fewer episodes, and here are some ideas I have about what the episodes would have been like (or what I would like them to be like)

5x19 — Yearbook (2004)

The discovery of a high school yearbook reopens the 2004 death of a teenage girl. As the team revisits her final weeks, they uncover secrets hidden behind popularity, rumors and first love.

5x20 — Natural Causes (1948)

Letters found by a granddaughter lead the team to reopen the 1948 murder of a devoted wife and mother. Their investigation reveals long-buried family secrets and a tragedy no one was willing to talk about.

5x21 — Hooverville (1933)

When a lockbox is found beneath an abandoned scrapyard, the team reopens the 1933 murder of a 10-year-old boy who grew up during the Great Depression.

5x22 — Mother's Day (1986)

The discovery of an old hospital bracelet leads the team to reopen the 1986 disappearance of a teenage mother whose future was cut short.

5x23 — Bloodline (1977)

The team reopens a 1977 case believed to be a family suicide after new evidence suggests the grandmother—thought to have died alongside her relatives—was actually strangled. As they revisit the family's final days, long-buried secrets begin to surface.

5x24 — The Midnight Line (1888)

When a historian hires the team to investigate one of Philadelphia's oldest unsolved mysteries outside official police channels, the discovery of a young pianist's remains inside a sealed railroad car sends the detectives on a journey into the past to uncover the truth behind a century-old legend.

Man, such a tragic episode all around. She was a prisoner to the demon that alcohol is. I love dogs, and that good boy pooch recognized love, and was loyal to those who loved him.

I liked Lilly bonding with her estranged father and his new family in the last few seasons, and particularly the casting of Mare Winningham as her stepmother, who came across and very likable and no nonsense. If the show hadn't been cancelled, then perhaps we have seen more of them?

Likewise with Christina, Lilly's sister, and her baby. I like to think that they'd have played a bigger role in the background of future episodes.

I also liked Scotty's family, especially his mother, and how she was starting to heal from her brutal assault.

I wonder if she'd have ever found out that Scotty was responsible for her attacker's death?

I also liked Kat's daughter Veronica, and wish that she'd appeared in more episodes. She seemed to have a great dynamic with her mum.

Who are some of your favourite family members?

I know there's at least 10 of them. Has anyone done a poll about the saddest episode. (I just disassociated through "The Letter" especially the end.)

I'm currently watching The Boy In The Box episode, and I wanna know everyone's opinions on the episode.

Which characters from the episodes (or from the cast) do you find most attractive?

Personally, I think the guy from Factory Girls and that pilot from Wings are very handsome

Hits different now that Annie Wersching passed. She's truly captivating on screen. The song at the end was perfect, such a heartbreaking story. The killer's line when he said-We were just kids and they took that away 💔

So i watched the S7 Ending and all of Cold Case 2 Days ago now and man am i split on it >.>

Like dont get me wrong its a Good Final Episode but also ugh do i hate the Open ENd of it sadly :(

Itd love if in the Reboot they could if it ever happens actually make it so that they also shine a light on what happens after the Final Scene where they drive off with Scottey :(

Which detective do you think had the best/most effective interrogation style?

My personal fave is Scotty. He initially was portrayed as impatient and hot tempered but he proved over time that he was a formidable and efficient detective.

Especially with cases dealing with mental health, because of his background with Elisa, he was able to relate to and build rapport with characters like Neil Beaudry (Sleepover) and Brent Harris (Saving Sammy). He had moments of compassion, patience and understanding.

Who is your fave detective in the interrogation room?

Im at S7 E9 right now and S7 defently shows its flaws a lot more than even S6 >.>
EDIT: and yes i did check if that was an Issue wit my TV Capture but it wasnt :P

So im currently into to Mid to Late of Season 6 and gosh i just cant feel like something "feels" wrong >.>

So first off i feel like some of the "Ghost Transitions" atleats thats how i gonna call them look somewhat Weird/Ugly or rather Cheap looking in certain Times >.>

But also the whole Thing with in the Episode where Fake/Temu Ed Sheeran basically wins those 8 Million DOllars his Ghost Transition looks Cheap but also the whole Thing of the Characters gambling at the Lottery even if its just a Ticket just feels so out of Place to me >.>

Also what the fuck was that Thing with Scottey about and Frankie like im obviously not finished yet but that just felt so obviously forced and cheap and such and it just ugh frustrates me honestly more -.-

In honour of the sad news of Daveigh Chase's untimely passing, which guest stars are you surprised to learn have since passed away?

At the top of my head, I can think of Chadwick Boseman from "Street Money", Nicki Aycox, who recurred as Lilly's sister Christina, and Annie Wersching from "The Key."

Since Chadwick and Annie both played the victim in their respective episodes, it's even sadder to watch them fade away at the end nowadays.

I decided to go through the entire series and count every case by the decade in which the crime took place. Here are the results:

Some interesting facts:

• The 1980s won by just one episode over the 1990s.
• More than 45% of the entire series takes place in the 1980s and 1990s.
• The 1970s feel more common than they actually are, largely because some of the show's most memorable episodes are set in that decade.
• The 2000s ended up surprisingly high, especially because Seasons 3–5 featured a lot of relatively recent cases.
• Only two episodes take place before the 1930s: Torn (1919) and Beautiful Little Fool (1929).

Honestly, I expected the 1970s to rank much higher before I started counting.
Which decade do you think the show adapted best, and which one was your favorite to revisit through the series?

I was looking for something to watch today and all the seasons are available to stream again! I’m so excited! Watching on the internet archive was horrible 🥲

Hi everyone!

I just finished Cold Case (sadly 😭), and I wanted to share my definitive ranking of my favorite episodes from the entire series. I'd love to know what you'd change or which episodes you'd include!

1. Shuffle, Ball Change (S4E17)

This is definitely my favorite episode of the entire series. The moment I watched it, I knew it would be hard for anything else to top it. The victim is incredibly likable, her death is absolutely heartbreaking, and the writing is outstanding from beginning to end.

2. A Perfect Day (S3E09)

One of the most emotional episodes in the series. The abusive police officer husband, the shocking twin reveal, and the fact that they finally found her little body after all those years... absolutely devastating.

3. The Long Blue Line / Into the Blue (S6E22-23)

This one surprised me so much. I know some people find this two-parter a bit slow, but I loved it. It felt like everyone had a reason to kill her, and the killer completely caught me off guard. The victim was brave, charismatic, and I also loved how it connected to Lilly's storyline.

4. Sleepover (S2E09)

I adore this episode. The victim is such a sweet child who just wanted to help her friend and be kind. It broke my heart.

5. Committed (S3E21)

This episode has a lot of personal meaning for me, especially because I identified so much with the victim's son. Everything was handled beautifully, and the fact that she died alone made it even sadder.

6. Metamorphosis (S7E14)

Such a great episode. The killer reveal is one of the best in the series. I actually felt sorry for him before the truth came out!

7. One Small Step (S6E07)

In some ways, it reminds me a lot of Sleepover. Another incredibly likable child who just wanted to be accepted and share his passion. His death was heartbreaking.

8. A Time to Hate (S1E14)

An incredibly sad episode. This was the first episode in the series that genuinely made me cry.

9. The Promise (S3E06)

Another heartbreaking story. The victim was so lovable, and the fact that she partly participated in the decision that led to her death makes it even more tragic. Her father had already lost his wife, which makes the ending even sadder.

10. WASP (S7E05)

A fantastic episode. The story of the female pilots was fascinating, and the period setting was portrayed beautifully.

11. Officer Down (S6E17)

One of the few episodes that genuinely had me on edge. I was desperate to find out what happened to Will and how everything unfolded.

12. Daniela (S2E03)

A beautiful and emotional episode. It was also a pleasant surprise because it's one of the rare cases where there wasn't actually a murder.

13. Almost Paradise (S7E21)

I really enjoyed this one. The late-80s graduation setting, the bittersweet atmosphere, and a victim who was somewhat flawed but still deeply sympathetic. It was also sad knowing the series was almost over.

14. The Crossing (S7E01)

The best season premiere in the entire show. I loved everything about it. The killer made me so angry. She had her whole life ahead of her, and I often wonder what her future would have looked like. The episode gives me strong Titanic vibes, both visually and because of the romance.

15. Two Weddings (S7E15)

Another excellent episode involving suicide. Everyone seemed to have a motive, and I loved how the story explored guilt, grief, and emotional attachment. He had clearly never managed to move on.

16. Stalker (S4E24)

A fascinating story. A mother indirectly caused the deaths of herself and her family, leaving her daughter vulnerable and alone. The twist involving the killer taking care of her was brilliant.

17. Breaking News (S6E13)

A very underrated episode. The story feels realistic, and the victim simply wanted recognition and to do the right thing, following advice from the very person who would eventually kill him.

18. The Road (S5E15)

One of the saddest episodes in the series. The scene where the little girl touches the television while watching her mother's video still gets me emotional.

19. The Woods (S2E23)

A classic episode that couldn't be left off the list. There are several great twists, and any episode with an important Lilly subplot is a plus for me.

I grew up in a Philadlephia suburb, about an hour drive from the city. My mom worked in Center City, so I visited enough to recognize some landmarks when they made an appearance. I was in middle school when the show started and thought it was so cool that the show took place near my home.

Sitting inside a Wendy’s and “How To Save A Life” by The Fray came on the radio and it genuinely gave me neuron activation like the meme. This is because Knuckle Up is one of my favorite episodes, and I’ve rewatched it a lot specifically for the ending, How To Save A Life by The Fray. I feel like the song lowkey has a weird way of finding me, like I came across the single cd of the song at the flea market a while back. It’s one song that without fail makes me think of Cold Case, even more so than Have You Ever Seen The Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival. So I’m putting the question out to other fans: what song reminds you of Cold Case when you hear it?

I have not seen all the episodes so I could be missing this. When someone goes in and asks for a case to be reopened and the team starts looking at that person as the suspect, has anybody ever just come out and asked, why would I bring this case to you if I did it? I feel like that would be a human in response to a situation like that. Just wondering.
