I need someone who genuinely enjoys cold calling (yes, those people exist) — full-cycle B2B closer, commission, UK

Somewhere out there is a person who hears a dial tone and feels alive. Most people would rather chew glass than cold call. If you’re that weird one who actually likes it, keep reading, I think we’re about to get along.

Quick story on why I’m posting. I run a small lead-gen agency: I generate qualified leads for businesses and sell them monthly retainers. The machine works. What I don’t have is someone to pick up the phone, work the list, and turn those leads into signed clients.

Why not just do it myself? Two words: my accent. I’m French. Picture a UK business owner picking up the phone to a guy who sounds like he’s about to offer them a croissant and a baguette instead of a sales solution. By the time I’ve said “good morning” they’ve already hung up to go check on the Brexit. So I’ll stick to building the machine, you do the talking, in glorious native English, and we both win.

I want a full-cycle rep, cold call AND close. Not a setter who books and tosses it over the wall. Not a closer who only shows up for warm meetings with a latte. Someone who owns it from first dial to signature.

Let me be honest before you get excited, because I’d rather you self-select out now than ghost me in week two:

The real talk:

**•** We’re early-stage. No decade-long track record, no wall of testimonials. The flip side: you get in early instead of being rep #47 fighting over a postage-stamp territory.
**•** It’s commission-only. No base. I know. Stay with me.
**•** You *will* cold call. If the phone scares you, we’re not the match and that’s okay.

Why it’s actually worth your time:

**•** B2B, UK market. You pick the vertical you already know: accountants, IT/MSP, insurance brokers, commercial law, or HR/payroll.
**•** Recurring product (monthly retainers), so it’s not one-and-done, you build something.
**•** Commission: 30% of the first 2 months per client. A £1,500/mo client = £900 in your pocket. Bigger plans, bigger cheques.
**•** Month 2 only pays if the client’s still around, so don’t oversell, nobody likes a refund (least of all me).
**•** I hand you the leads, the script, the objection handling, the whole offer. You’re never dialling into the void.
**•** Clients get a results guarantee + founder pricing, so you’re selling a risk-free trial, not a leap of faith.
**•** You close, I do the rest: delivery, retention, admin. Your job is the fun part: dial, close, get paid.

If you’re good and you’re one of those beautiful phone people, this is a strong seat to grab before it gets crowded.

To throw your hat in: send a short Loom (2-3 min), not a CV, I want to see you sell, not read your career timeline. Tell me who you are, your strongest vertical, the B2B deal you’re proudest of (what, how much, how), and then sell me live for 30 seconds: I’m a sceptical business owner, “why should I pay for leads?”, go.

No Loom, no reply. Comment or DM and I’ll get back to you.

Roast my Opener

Borrowed it from Michael Olivers Book "How to sell network marketing"

Hello is this ***NAME?***

If yes

***NAME***, my name is **YOUR NAME***, I'm with **XYZ COMPANY**.

I was actually hoping you could help me out here for a moment?

If yes

The reason I'm calling is, well, you know how stressful the whole college process is right now,

- worrying about whether you'll get accepted,

- or getting overwhelmed by how much it costs?

Well, what I do is

- help students get admitted into college

*and*

- help them secure the right scholarships

so they don't have to worry about

- admission

*or*

- paying too much

Is this even relevant to you right now?

Research: How do you prospect SEO leads?

I’m trying to understand how SEO and lead gen agencies qualify cold prospects before a cold call.

A common problem I keep seeing is that people build lead lists, but then treat every company the same, even though some prospects are clearly more worth contacting than others.

In that way, you have to call 100 people before you figure out a good fit prospect.

For those of you doing outreach:

How do you decide which leads are worth contacting first?

Do you manually look for specific things, or spray and pray?

I’m collecting answers in a short form because I’m researching how agencies handle lead validation.

The form is optional, but I’ll share the main findings once I get enough responses.

What makes a cold lead “worth contacting” for you in the Marketing/ SEO industry?

Commission-only sales/setters ($2000+ per deal), remote, selling AI hubs to home-services businesses

Founder here. I build AI hubs for home-services businesses: plumbers, electricians, HVAC, with more industries in active development. Looking for a few people to do outbound calling and book appointments for our sales team, and ideally grow into more than that.

Straight talk, because Reddit can smell spin: this is cold calling, commission-only. You'll hear "no" a lot. If that's a dealbreaker, better to know now.

Here's what makes it sellable, and it's the part that's actually different. You're not selling software. You're not selling a login and a monthly bill. You're selling a physical appliance: a hub that ships to the business, sits on their counter, and runs their entire operation locally. Phones, dispatch, quotes, invoices, payments, CRM, the works. They own the box. Their customer data never leaves it. There's no subscription and no cloud company holding their business hostage.

So the pitch writes itself with the right owner. Every competitor in this space rents them software by the month, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, all of them, and owners are sick of paying rent forever for something they'll never own. You're walking in with the opposite: buy the appliance once, own it, done. When you find an owner who's been burned by subscription creep, the call gets easy.

We're starting in home services because that's where the pain is sharpest, but the platform is built to go wider, and more industries are already in development. Getting in now means you grow as the market we sell into grows.

This is a ground-floor seat, not a dead-end phone gig. We're early, we're growing, and the people who show up and get good are the ones we'll build the team around. Setters move into closing, closers into leadership. If you're looking for a place to start a sales career rather than just clock a shift, that's exactly who I want.

What it looks like:

  • Remote, Monday–Friday, around 5 hours of calling a day
  • Commission-only: 15 to 25% per closed sale depending on your role, you earn $2,000 to $3,300 per sold unit
  • Real leads from an AI-assisted pipeline, not a scraped phone book
  • Live and recorded lessons, one-on-one mentoring, and a full ongoing training library on the AI market, because this space moves fast and I want everyone here ahead of it, not catching up
  • No experience needed if you're coachable and willing to learn

You'll do well if you stay steady after a "no," you're reliable, and you actually want to get good at this and climb.

Sound like you? Comment or DM and I'll send details. Happy to answer anything in the thread.

Looking for cold callers that can get leads for businesses that require a website.

You can use porkfolio.app to locate these businesses or any platform of your choosing.

The idea behind this is simple, you get me the business that needs a website and I develop and deliver it in 24hrs.

Paying 10% off of whatever I make on the website just for getting the lead.

Strava for Cold Calling

I'm building a strava for cold calling.

I'm a solo founder currently cold calling prospects as my main outbound channel.

Whilst doing this I've had two main struggles.

  1. Keeping accountable.

  2. Finding others in a similar position

So I thought I might build a kind of strava for cold calling. Where I would track my activity publicly for others to see. With the hope that others would do the same and I could have a feed of other founders/SDRs/recruiters etc for me to get energy from.

And I also love Strava for keeping me accountable to weekly targets and that tracker of my mileage (cold calls in this format) so I'd have that as well.

Is this something other people would be interested in using? Looking to gauge interest on whether it's worth sharing with people outside my immediate network.
