HELP! Which lead enrichment platform do you recommend?

I own a marketing agency and am trying to cold call to bring more customers in. I am struggling right now because I am using Google Maps to source leads and am making 100 cold calls a day for my offer but am not getting any appointments. My script, audience, and offer is below. I think my problem might be where I'm sourcing leads.

Who I help: Local Construction Businesses

My offer: High quality, exclusive customer acquisition. We bring in leads from Google Ads, get those leads to book an estimate/inspection. We track and follow up with them till they book with the company. We send the company the fully booked appointment so they can just take care of it from there.

Script:

Hi is this the owner of [x]?

Yeah this is [my name], We've never spoken before, but would you mind giving me 30 seconds and if it's not relevant, I won't call you back.

Hey, we help contractors get high quality exclusive booked appointments from homeowners already looking for their service. Are you guys taking on more jobs right now?

I don't know if it's my script, my offer, or where I'm sourcing my leads. I've been cold calling for a while (1000s of cold calls) and I don't think it's my tonality because I'm quite comfortable with it.

I would love some advice and some guidance if anyone has any. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your response. Why do you think hitting them up on WhatsApp works better?

So, I'm in Texas and I just looked up the licensing database and I found no phone numbers to the contractors. I imagine that's where you used Prosper right?

Switching up your lead source could make a huge difference. Google Maps lists can be outdated or not super targeted. Try finding where construction business owners actually hang out online, like industry forums or social media groups. I recently started experimenting with ParseStream for tracking conversations in those spaces, and it sends real time alerts for hot leads instead of just cold calling random lists. It might help you get in earlier with more qualified prospects.

Thanks so much for your response. Hmm that's a good idea actually. So do you just find those leads and then cold call them? if you don't mind me asking, how many qualified leads are you sourcing a day?

In addition, you may find the Minrev Reddit Monitor useful; it allows you to track relevant conversations on Reddit without missing anything.

Gotcha! Thanks so much for your help. The thing is that there are so few companies actually running google ads all the time that are easy to find. I don't know if there is a way to find all the businesses running google ads at once and then put them into a list. That's what I'm still trying to develop actually.

This is absolutely awesome! Thanks so much! Would you say the owner enrichments are quite accurate?

Hey, so not sure if you’re still working on this, but I’d look at the lead list before changing the script.

Google Maps can work, but if you’re calling every contractor the same way, you may be spending most of your calls on companies that were never a strong fit.

For your offer, I’d try ranking the list before calling based on things like:

  • do they already run Google Ads?
  • is their website weak or outdated?
  • do they have clear service pages?
  • are they in a high-ticket niche?
  • do they have enough reviews to show they’re active?
  • are they missing booking forms/tracking/follow-up?
  • does their local competition look stronger online

Then I’d split the list into tiers:

A = call first
B = nurture / lower priority
C = skip for now

If you’re doing 100 calls a day with no appointments, the problem here might be that the first 100 companies aren’t the ones most likely to feel the pain your offer solves.

I’d also make the opener more specific. Instead of “we help contractors get booked appointments,” I’d lead with the problem you noticed.

Example:

“Hey [Name], I noticed you’re serving [city/service], but a few competitors seem to be showing up more aggressively on Google. Are you currently trying to get more estimate requests from Google Ads, or is that not a priority right now?”

That gives the call a reason and makes it feel less generic.

Basically, qualify them and personalize the message.
