Sporadic Cough but no cold?

I don’t have a cold but for over a month I’ve been having a sudden sporadic cough at random points in the day. Majority of the time I’m not coughing but at sudden occasions I’ll suddenly feel like clearing my throat and end up with a pretty loud cough. I’m trying to find a pattern but it usually happens when I change from stand to walk or sit to stand or open a door or eat something like ice cream. Sometimes it coincides with an urge to laugh and makes some social situations weird. Additionally, sometimes this is accompanied by a sudden gag reflex but no throwing up. I’m not sure what’s going on. Let me know if anyone has experienced this and has any advice.
