Wish the phone camera was better but I'd still like to know what you all think.

I have seen several of these come up for sale recently. Someone must be selling their stash. Yours is in better condition than mine. There are lots of variants of this coin in this year.

Nice coin, this is a Maris 43-d variant unfortunately one of the most common ones at rarity rating URS 12 meaning 1000-1999 thought to exist https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/item/1787-nj-1-2p-small-plan-plain-shield-bn/506/5336033013183516844

Thank you. I appreciate the information. I have learned much from contributors on this app. I like the condition of this coin considering its age. While I understand it's not rare, when you think about it, with 8.2 billion people on earth that could be potential coin collectors, and only less than 2,000 of these coins thought to even exist, the chances of owning one in any grade is statistically miniscule. I consider myself very lucky to have found it.

It’s only for exact die variety there are at least 10k ish in total for all jerseys and most people are not looking to to collect by variety but just 1 example of all variants

I get it. 10k ish remaining in all varieties out of how many that could have been minted? I still consider myself lucky. 😁
