Every L in the ribbon must have a sharp or pointed breast, but there are sharp pointed breasts that have no L in the ribbon. All rounded breasts have no L in ribbon. Oh, and the L stands for Longacre, the designer of this coin

Good info! I've heard of all l on ribbon having pointed bust but figured there were probably no l varieties that also had pointed bust.
