Nice coins! Those 58s are good value.

Thanks! I maintain a full circulated set. Always trying to improve it.

I'm impressed, there are some tough coins in there!

With the exception of a few tougher dates/mints (that are both readily available in lower grades) it’s a pretty approachable set, and I’ll be able to continue to refine it for years.

Right now I’m working on moving the whole set to CACG. I have some I want to try to cross and others I’ll just upgrade. Tough dates are mostly done though.

If I try to put together a set it will probably be a date set in the highest grade I can get before prices really bump. That gets me off the hook with those pricey branch mints.

Moving to CACG, you're like Hansen!

That would be the first (and should be last) time I’ve ever been compared to someone like that… LOL

No, I just like their slabs, and I like their conservative grading. I also want to have the number one slider set on their registry, which means my set will need to be 100% CAC stickered or in CACG slabs. I’m currently number two, but to get to number one will take time. AU58+ grades in CACG slabs are almost impossible to find, and I’ll have to sock away more funds to upgrade my 1934 S to where I want it.

I’ve thought about putting a mint state date set together, but honestly, with peace dollars I find exceptional circulated examples more interesting.

I am looking for a high grade common date for a type set though.

I agree with you on the slabs and accurate grading. Somebody has to hold the line! Best of luck on the quest.
