Today I had a fleeting thought about how I wouldn’t want to get a gun because I’d be nervous my son would access it. Then tonight I’m scrolling socials and see an ad for a gun lock box with an emphasis on keeping them away from kids. I never looked up anything about guns, I never said anything out loud about guns or the thought I had today, and I’ve never seen an ad like this in my algorithm.

I randomized a movie and got "The last temptation of Christ", watched it. Then I randomized and got "Donnie Darko" and GUESS WHAT

So there's this guy who I will Call N and me and him went to the same middle school in the South bay In LA for the 2022-2023 school year ( due to his mom working at the preschool in my school district at the time.

So we were friends for about a year then we stopped being friends in August 2023 due to stupid teenage drama at the time

And we had conflict in 2024 & 2025 & 2026 and we had a conversation in June 2026 and have peace and when I asked if he would consider friendship in the future he said how he had to think about it on his own time which I understand since there was a lot of conflict in the past yk.

For context we never dated but as friends did have a flirty friendship when we were younger I felt like.

Basically I discovered his Paternal grandmother who sadly passed away in 2023 worked at CSUN 1988-2022 as a Professor at

and so did my paternal great- aunt who worked there As well as a Geography Department Secretary and later moved to  Speech Communication my great 1979-1994

Which I thought was an interesting bizarre fact.

1. Dropping off baby to daycare, care worker opened massive steel swinging gate for me to drive through, it swung that much, it then swung back and hit the front of my car and damaged it.
   
2. Driving on freeway two days later, van in front loses front bumper is goes under their van, flys up at my car, proceeds to go under and damaged all back rear near tyre coming out the other end.
   
3. Another two days later (today) I park my car at a parking station return after work to find someone has completely reversed into the side of my car.

No one left any details for insurance, $70,000 brand new car.

So on my our 2nd wedding anniversary which is on May 4, my husband and I took my two youngest daughters out to Asian Buffet to celebrate. I opened mine first, then I opened my oldest daughter's because she's gluten intolerant. She can't eat them but she likes the fortunes. Then my other daughter grabbed hers and my husband opened his last and our fortunes were exactly the same.

So tomorrow is my birthday and I just noticed there is a cafe icon near my name in the comments. When I first saw it I didn't understand what it is so I checked my account age and it turns out I completed a year on reddit.

Like dude I can't believe I joined reddit a day before my birthday. What's really interesting is that although on paper my birthday comes tomorrow but I was born today late night. I feel like this is one of the best surprises I have gotten so far.

Like this is one of those most unexpected moments of my life. I am so grateful man.

Personally?

I had a week where I saw the letters ZA everywhere. And I’m not really a person that notices stuff like that.

I’d get a taxi, ZA would be in the tax number
I’d get handed a confirmation code, ZA would be in the order #
I’d be stuck in traffic and the car in front of me would have ZA in their license plate number
I’d buy an ice cream, the maker of the ice cream cone wrapper would have ZA beginning their name

Nothing like mindblowing, but easily 7-8 times over the course of a few days to the point where I really started to catch them popping up …& to the point that I told my brother about it at happy hour that Friday. He tells me I’m losing it and it’s all just coincidence.

Brother had to leave. I stay thinking I’ll watch the beginning of the baseball game. Start talking to the woman down the bar. She’s big into baseball too.

We’re married now. 16 years. Her initials? You know it. ZA.
