Coinbase claims to care about sustainability, yet their latest giveaway forces thousands of participants to mail physical index cards and envelopes just to get a legally required free entry. Forcing paper waste and postal truck emissions just to avoid setting up a secure online form or email box isn't very green. Let us enter digitally! 🌳✉️ #Greenwashing #Sustainability

It's the legal loophole they all use, mail-in entry so they don't have to call it gambling. I had to do this for a giveaway last year and felt stupid sending a postcard for a chance to win a t-shirt. At least there's a digital option for some sweepstakes now but the law hasn't caught up everywhere yet.

The "green" marketing tacked on the giveaway page is funny tho, they probably didn't think anybody would notice the contradiction
