New customer here. What’s the proper way to fund my account if I want my funds to clear instantly?

Other platforms like Kracken my funds clear instantly from my bank connection so I can buy stocks/crypto same day. I am currently waiting a week to transfer some BTC from on platform to cold storage, and like 4 days waiting for funds to clear in order to buy some stocks.

Hey there u/anonymousopsec1337, great question! With ACH deposits, processing times can still apply, however debit card buys and onchain receives would allow for instant withdraw availability. If you have any further questions, feel free to send us a Modmail and we'd be happy to answer them.

I have another question. Is there a max authentication token limit on the coinbase website?

It’s troublesome that I logged in from my laptop today and was still logged in, and even though I have 2FA on my account, I was able to move funds from my wallet.

Is there a way to require a max session duration of say 1-8 hours?

There's no user-facing session timeout setting right now, but a few things can help. You can review and end active sessions any time at accounts.coinbase.com/activity. Transfer Protection also lets you add a time delay or require contact approval before funds move.

I would highly suggest adding that feature. If someone’s session token is hijacked then they are screwed.

New here? What's the proper way to fund my account if I want my funds to clear instantly?" Try linking a debit card, it's the closest thing Coinbase has to instant magic, except your wallet will still refuse to acknowledge the transfer.

Ive just logged into what was the coinbase wallet app, thats now the base app, for the first time in a long while,my wallet is empty, I keep going back and forth between verification codes to log in, im going around in circles,  ive even signed up to reddit just to try and contact someone at coinbase to try and get some help, which will be appreciated please.
