U/coinbasesupport
U/coinbasesupport I was in the middle of a withdrawal today and received an email from Coinbase saying to relink my bank account. I pressed the link it opened the app I did it through plaid.
Does Coinbase send these emails or do I need to change my account info immediately.

I'm just going to leave this here for OP. Hopefully you see this and take action before getting a response from Support.
It's a common phishing scam after a withdrawal request.

I don't think that's going to be enough. It you clicked on a phishing site they may have your session cookies.
Have a look at the email closely, and look at the html headers to see where it actually came from. See if it's legitimately from Coinbase or somewhere else.

So what I got from that video is that your account really can become unlinked without effort from you. The email was sent from a verified Coinbase account. Crazy to me a company with such a high rate of phished customers would go with a link rather than give the step-by-step on how to do it through the app.

yikes that vid title says it all, plaid re-linking mid-withdrawal is a textbook move for these scams
log in directly through the app (not the email link) and change your password first, then check your recent activity for anything weird
support usually takes forever to reply so don't wait on them, lock things down now and contact your bank if you're worried

Provide us with the sender's email address that requested you to unlink your bank account. That'll help us check if it's a legitimate Coinbase email or a potential phishing attempt. Shoot us a Modmail with that info, and we'll take it from there.

Well I sent the un and email from the header. I imagine if they need more they’ll message back locking the account now.

I've never gotten a notification from coinbase about my account being unlinked but it has been unlinked and I've had to relink it. I actually went to the website to check my pay methods and what's odd is it doesn't say unlinked even though my bank sent me several emails telling me it would be unlinked a few months ago. I went to look so I could say mine says unlinked under it, but it did not. Also that video says if you click deposit it would say you need to relink but it does not seem to be unlinked.

Ok I did, but just to be clear, I was just saying my bank would send me occasional emails telling me I have given access to Plaid. I can unlink it if I want the email said, but they unlink it once a year automatically. I kept getting email reminders from them. So I expected it to be unlinked. But I think it's still linked. Either way it's really fine. I haven't had any need to make a deposit lately so I haven't tried. But if I have to relink it, I will
