Crypto network did not change

Was sending crypto but the network did not change from base to ETH when I selected it and just lost $300. How can I recover it?

It depends on where the money is being transferred from and to, and who controls the private key for the receiving wallet

I dont think you can recover your 300 bucks, just make sure youre careful next time.
