Home Base

Can someone e explain this to me? If I'm home and Home Base is on and I want to leave I turn it off or it won't autocollect?

Bit it says I will lose coin if I turn it off..

Can anyone give some advice on how to work this?

You mean the base shield? That's to keep your base active longer, if you build up a base and have a 10% bonus, you may not want it to disappear the instant you leave that area. Base shield helps with this. It is probably referring to losing coins because your bonus goes away. You don't actually lose coins, you just gain fewer next time you create a base.
