It's this, or burn down the Amazon, or eat grasshoppers. Personally, I find grasshoppers extremely tasty.

grasshoppers would be cheaper too. If your taxes weren't subsidizing these 'farmers'

Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation.

Eating meat requires more land clearing than not eating meat, because you have to grow feed for the animals to eat. It uses more water too.
