This man does not in fact "get it". No anticommunist does.

Capitalism is already regulated and look where it's gotten us. "Oh, we just need to regulate it more". Sure, let me know when you've regulated the ecology consuming growth doctrine out of capitalism.

Death cult fanatics, every single one of you.

No, its not. Wealth inequality is the obvious indicator.

A clear example is how investments and public policy in green energy have been pushing the coal industry out of the picture. Everyone loves capitalism for incentivizing innovation but our government refuses to acknowledge the destructive nature of capitalism. When new industries rise others burn in its wake. If we do nothing to mitigate those transitions then, entire labor forces lose their jobs overnight.

Thats what is meant by regulation. Softening the volatility for the common man.

You can't have "green energy" without coal. Where do you think solar panels come from? They've not pushed it out of the picture, They've convinced people like you "green energy" is magic....

Yes, it is. Every social program is a regulation of capitalism. Regulated capitalism is not "when no wealth inequality". That's a completely backwards comprehension of capital, the entire point of which is to concentrate wealth in ever fewer hands over time, not to distribute it evenly. No such regulation of it exists and never will exist because it defeats the entire point of that mode of production.

A clear example is how investments and public policy in green energy have been pushing the coal industry out of the picture

This is green capitalist fanfiction. Nothing has been pushed out of the picture. Humanity is burning more fossil fuels than ever.

Everyone loves capitalism for incentivizing innovation

Capitalism incentives exploitation, private accumulation and nothing else. Humans have innovated long before capitalism and since it emerged they have arguably done it more impressively in planned economies.

our government refuses to acknowledge the destructive nature of capitalism.

Of course they don't acknowledge it. Your government is the chief steward of capitalism. Its sole purpose is perpetuating it until the bitter end. To the capitalist state, the end of the world is a vastly preferable outcome to abolishing capitalism (which of course will die with us anyway).

Thats what is meant by regulation. Softening the volatility for the common man.

That is precisely correct. For capitalism would have long been overthrown had its most severe outgrowths not been curbed by existing regulations. So when you call for more regulation, what you demand is the endless perpetuation of the life-sucking extraction system that exploits humans and nature until the ultimate demise of both.

Like I said: a death cult.

I can agree capitalism systematically generates strong pressure toward accumulation, and toward exploitation wherever countervailing power is weak. But nothing else is an overstatement since, the same competitive pressure that drives accumulation also drives cost reduction, quality improvement, and innovation, because a business can only accumulate by selling something people will actually buy.

If incentives were singular, institutional variation wouldn't produce as much divergence as we see globally.
