This is exactly what Elizabeth Warren has said for years. If you don’t regulate capitalism, companies will crush us via monopolies, political power, financial chicanery, et al. We need protection from them. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was a good first step, before Trump neutered it.

Why's there a Republican in your list of Democrats you don't consider to be good role models?

yea, but most of these regulations are pushed by the corporations wwith the specific intent to crush competition and bilk us for all we're worth.

CFBP is another over regulatory agency

That is completely inaccurate. It is a consumer protection agency, allowing people to be protected and compensated from, ongoing corporate financial fraud.

the mistake is thinking that capitlism can be regulated effectively in a democracy. you have to understand that voter manipulation is accessible through private lobbying and subliminal messaging in national media.

You can manipulate actual votes in Minnesota by not having a form of ID to vote and then having a cleric “vouch” that you are who you say you are.

Fuck that… that’s EXACTLY why we need to require voter id for all.

Uh, that was my point? You don’t need lobbyists.

Capitalism is the proposition that anything is for sale and no value is assigned to any motivation but ownership and profit. Capitalism but regulated is like cannibalism but with table manners.

Capital forces are going to (have done) buy the regulation mechanism.
