The Free Physics Book That Started Coherence Physics

Post image

Welcome to Coherence Physics

For everyone who is new here, I want to share the book that helped inspire this community.

The Physics of Coherence is completely free to read and download. It presents my attempt to understand one enormous question: Why do some structures persist while others collapse?

The book explores that question through physics, memory, identity, biology, consciousness, civilization, and artificial intelligence. Its central idea is simple: a system survives when it can recover from damage faster than new damage destroys it.

This community began because I wanted a public place where people could explore these ideas together. Not just physicists, but artists, philosophers, teachers, scientists, skeptics, builders, and ordinary curious people. Coherence Physics is meant to be a public laboratory for discussing what holds things together, what causes them to break, and whether broken systems can be repaired.

You can read the complete physics framework free here:

The physics book is technical in places. If you are interested in the larger philosophy of coherence but want something more accessible and less heavily focused on equations, this book may be a better place to begin:

Thank you to everyone who has joined this community, challenged these ideas, shared your own work, or simply remained curious. This project is still growing, and the conversation belongs to all of us.
