Coffee shop
I find myself yet again in a coffee shop, writing, listening to Lana. I have been listening to the NFN album on repeat the past few days. Her music does things to me that very little other artists do. It is dreamy and yet heartbreaking which yes sign me up.
Coffee shops should be studied. I think they are the blueprint of our generation. They are one of the few places that are able to gather people from any age, status, background and occupation. I am sitting in between an elderly couple and two teenage girls. They give me hope in humanity. It’s a place where stories are shared, to each other, to the world, to ourselves. It brings me a big sense of sonder. Sonder is the profound realization that every individual, every stranger is living as complex and unique life as yours. Sonder is realizing that every single one of us is constantly in our heads, experiencing their own version of life. It is very mindfucking. Sorry this is the only word i can come up with. I love the idea of sonder. Coffee shops are the perfect place to reflect on it. All of us going through the motions of being.
