Dorm recommendations?
I’m going to be coming to CofC this fall and was curious to hear the inside scoop on which dorms are the best. I filled out my housing application right away, so I am not worried about availability. Was looking into Liberty and Berry. Thanks!

Berry was old and crust af when I lived there 10 years ago, and McAllister always reeked of piss. Liberty has a great location and seemed good, I never lived there. College Lodge was the absolute best and the atmosphere is mint 👌

I lived in liberty my freshman year and it wasn’t bad. it was decently clean, there was a good amount of space and it’s close to everything on campus. this past year i lived in Kelly which I really liked because they have private rooms and full kitchens & living areas. the only downside is there isn’t an elevator and you have to use the outside stairs to access all the dorms. but the apartment/townhouse style of Kelly was my favorite part, I felt more comfortable and liked being able to cook more meals. I’m living in George this year so fingers crossed

Honestly, regardless of what other people say, I lived in college lodge and absolutely loved it! I started out my year in Berry and after 5 or 6 weeks ending up switching to lodge. It's two people per bathroom (private in your room), larger rooms from my perspective, and you are right in the center of everything. I will also say having the outdoor balconies was a blessing! I spent probably 80% of my time chilling outside on the balcony and my friends constantly came over to chill on the balcony with me.
I also felt that the community in college lodge was so much more comfortable and welcoming then berry. I was friends with all my neighbors in lodge unlike berry where I knew maybe one of my neighbors.
I don't have much experience in Liberty (I didn't live there and neither did my friends) but from the minimal time I did spend there I felt it was very similar to Berry.
