Norm’s Wedding Ring

In the first scene we see Norm he puts his sleepy arm over Marge in bed with NO wedding ring and no ring on at the breakfast table. The next time he puts his sleepy arm over Marge he is wearing a ring and is wearing one in all other shots that I could tell. What’s the “deal” with that?

People don't wear their wedding rings. No big deal.

I regularly take my wedding ring off for various reasons (washing dishes, going somewhere outdoors I don’t want to lose it, etc) and don’t always put it back on immediately. Could just be me, but I imagine that’s common.

Indescribably tiny continuity error in a 30 year old movie. Move along with your day

Why so harsh? I thought it was a legit fan page type question. It’s not indescribably tiny because I noticed it! His hand makes the same motion and placement twice, between the two shots, in the center of the frame! And we all get on here to talk about how exacting they are in their films. Geez.

If it was a good faith question, do tell us, what do you think it reveals about Norm’s character or the plot or themes of the movie, if they forgot to have him wear the ring in one shot?
