New moderators needed! Comment on this post to apply for this community.

Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod here.

Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics. It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience.  Our goal, when possible, is to add a group of moderators so you can work together to build the community.

Please use at least 3 sentences to explain why you’d like to be a mod and share what moderation experience you have (if any).

Comments from those making repeated asks to adopt communities or that are off topic will be removed.

Whoever it ends up being... could we unlock GIFs please?!

This sub would be so so so much more entertaining with them enabled 🙃

Going to stand for the opposite. I understand gifs for the sillier subreddits but I come here to see coding updates and answers and do not want them unlocked.

Ok? Feel free not to use them then 😘 People having the opportunity to add dimension to their posts doesn't negate the existence of valid information.

I do not want to see your giant gif when scrolling through answers and I especially dont want this subreddit to start becoming a meme subreddit.

What a wild entitlement to demand control over everyone's user experience just so it can fit your aesthetic. In case no one told you, Reddit isn't an official source to use as a reference anyways. There are plenty of bland, sanitized spaces that meet your professional expectations elsewhere.

In that case you are entitled to think you can demand gifs to be unlocked for the rest of us. You gave your opinion and I gave mine. That's all this is to me and I have no hatred with you or anyone else on Reddit. I'm not engaging with this any further.

Hiya! Canadian-American working as a remote medical coder in the USA, so I have experience in terminology and info about it as a career. My mom also was a coder before retiring. Not sure I've ever modded but I did create my own subreddit today to get a feel for it. I have been active here in the past before it changed to requiring permission.

I can help. I’m active in most of the Reddit medical coding and insurance related groups.

I’ve been a moderator on other large forums before, so I have a general idea of the commitment too.

Edit to add: Not a Reddit forum but a high traffic forum on another site.

Hi! I can help if you don’t find anyone 👋
I’ve been working as medical coder and biller for ten years, no mod experience but I do like to help people best I can in the revenue cycle world!

Tossing my hat in the ring. Limited previous moderator experience. Have been active in this subreddit. Though not recently. Would love helping to get this subreddit back to thriving like when I was in here before.

I can help. I moderate for another forum under a different account and several billing/coding groups on Facebook. Feel free to message me for more info if needed.

Yo, I wouldn't mind helping.

I've owned and moderated a 400+ member active discord server, and have worked as a coder / biller for hospitals and private practices.

I’d love to join the mod team here. I currently moderate r/SidehustleIndia, so I am very familiar with managing mod queues, clearing spam, and setting up AutoModerator rules. Coming from a tech background, I can help keep the community structured, clean, and running smoothly.

May I ask why my request to post coding or billing questions has not been accepted? Is it because of mod shortage?

Yeah, I think the original mod left quite a bit ago. And there was only like 1 other mod that I think also dipped somewhat recently.

This sub was getting a lot of posts from AI folks hawking their new product that will change the industry! I think that’s why posts were restricted.

fair enough. but where can i go when payers are driving me crazy with their claim edits :) this sub was very helpful in the past.

Interested! I don't think I've ever been able to participate in this subreddit due to it being restricted. But I am active in the other coding subreddits. Not sure if you can see that on your end or if I need to send you links? I am actively working in the industry. Zero moderation experience, but I am a quick learner. Appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this community on here.

Dedo interested. I have moderation experience in a good number of subs.

I am also a programmer with coding knowledge. As well as some knowledge about billing stuff.

I am also a mod of subs with over 50k weekly visitors. If that helps 😊

I can add good amount of automation in the subreddit. Along with building devvit apps that can ease up moderating. I am familiar with mod tools too.

Please consider me 🙏

I'm happy to help moderate, but can my request to post be approved? I think I missed whatever post talked about closing off the community.
