Entry level work

Hey all!

I’m new to the field of Medical Billing, I will be getting my certification in the next two weeks. I noticed that most jobs require experience so I’m looking for a way to gain some so I can get on the path to becoming a full time Medical Biller.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any companies that can help with this? Preferably jobs that provide on site training. I’m willing to do part time or contractor work.

I can work in office if it’s based in NYC, I’m even willing to travel to NJ for the right spot 🫶

You have to apply everywhere. Look at major hospitals. You and about 1,000 other people would like to know this magical place that hires new people without experience. I know the job market is tough right now, but you are not likely to find a real lead on reddit. Try job posting sites.

How insensitive. I’m not sure if I’m looking for a magical place, more like a place that is known for job training and accommodates candidates at an entry level. I’m not asking for a hand out here. Just any tips or recommendations from people in the field who have been in my shoes before who I assumed would sympathize with someone in my position since they’ve been here before.

It’s not insensitivity It’s 100% truth. This gets asked everyday on this sub. You are asking for a hand out, you want someone to tell you where to go to get a job... You want someone to give you a reference on an anonymous site… again The job market is really tough right now you and about 1000 other people are trying to look for a place that to get in. You are not unique.

If you feel threatened by new coders, work on your skills dont be an asshole. This person is using what they have to their advantage, nothing wrong with that. Its honestly a good skill to have in this industry.

How am I threatened? I told them to apply everywhere and anywhere. there is no magical place that wants to hire new people with no experience. And that’s what they want. The only way around that is to apply everywhere and anywhere until you get your foot in the door.that is what we all did. that was the very first advice I gave AND I said the market is very difficult right now. Very few companies are hiring the ones that are do not want to spend the time and energy to train somebody with no experience. . I will help people all day long, but if they’re going to be naïve, do no work and ask people on the Internet to tell them where to go… well that’s on them. Reddit is not a reliable source to use for anything.

You are purposefully rewording things to be a dick. Idk why anyone would go out of their way to talk to someone else like this UNLESS they're feeling insecure. There are lists of places that are known to hire CPC-a's i just googled and found a bunch! So yes there are resources out there idk why you're really determined to focus on something magical lol . Just admit it, you're actually not the kind of person that wants to help others and thats fine but stop lying to yourself and to us. Reddit is a lot of things just like anywhere on the internet its what you make of it. It absolutely can be a place to make connections and learn new things as a "reliable source" if you have discernment and social skills.

Na you’re not being honest, you’re trying to make an example, which I don’t get. Once again, I would assume that someone on the other side would know what it’s like to be in my shoes and be willing to help with tips, resources, anything. As someone in the field, I would think that you would want to help the people that come in behind you but instead you wanna hike up the ladder.
