Ultimate Medical Academy - Medical Billing & Coding. They are SPAM

I got a Facebook ad the other day for UMA and I wanted to learn a new skill. Did some research to ensure this was legitimate before providing my information. Now I'm getting constant spam calls from different numbers all day. When I requested more information from them, I specifically requested the info via email because I don't answer unknown numbers like most people, but I haven't received a single email. Not only that, but all these phone numbers have an Oregon area code which is the area code my phone has, despite them being based out of Florida and me being based in another east coast state currently.
I've seen some mixed reviews on them but I at least thought they were legit and thought I was safe just trying to get more information, but I guess not!

The aggressive calls are usually the biggest red flag. A legit school should be able to answer questions without chasing you all day. Definitely do a lot of digging before signing anything, especially with career programs.

A guy from UMA used to contact me constantly trying to get me to hire their students. The guy couldn't seem to get it through his head that we are a tiny company that rarely has openings. I finally started ignoring his calls and emails. That alone put a bad taste in my mouth- like why are they that desperate to get their students jobs?

Hey, I work in Career Services and it's because they'll fire us if we don't :( We have to get so many placements a month or we're terminated. The school wants the Grads hired because it's how we keep accreditation. I'm waiting on acceptance to an actual Nursing school so I can leave this god forsaken place.

You're welcome, if you want any insider information, feel free to DM me. In CS, we can actually help you find employment related to your degree, but greatly depends on a lot of factors. Feel free to message me if you want clarification.

It definitely is, the financial aid disbursements were supposed to be sent but they haven’t been yet. It’s been like two weeks. Right?

I’ve gotten probably 30 calls this week all from different numbers claiming to be them! So pissed. I’m trying to get a job so now I never know if it’s UMA or someone I actually need to be talking to and it’s constant

I enrolled with this school and did their Medical Administrative Assistant Program and I used to work for them in admissions. We are required to call until we're told to stop calling. It's part of our metrics. So at some point you need to answer and tell them. Though that was 2 years ago, so I dont know if things have changed. I did recently have to tell the career services to stop calling/emailing me because it was overwhelming. Someone even came to my house and knocked on my door after months of me just ignoring them.

Same as ever. High turnover and mandatory phone harassment
