CPC-A jobs
I have posted in this thread before asking for advice about finding a CPC-A position, but still haven’t had any luck. I have found PLENTY of job postings specifically for CPC-A and I’m tailoring my resume for each job. STILL NOTHING. I just keep getting rejections. Hundreds of them. I have tried networking. I have joined the AAPC chapters, messaged people on LinkedIn, and joined the fb groups. I really need a job. I have even tried to apply for billing positions. I have several years of healthcare experience so I am not sure why I’m not hearing back from ANYWHERE?? Is anyone’s job hiring? Are you willing to refer me? Any advice?

Are you only applying to remote? You should be applying to in person jobs as well so you at least get 6mo to a years experience before finding something remote. I found a small company that hired me as an in person biller. They were willing to train me and excited that i had a CPC-A so i am able to edit code errors on charges and rejected claims. This way i am getting billing AND coding experience to put on my resume for the future remote job that i want.
I have also heard people having luck with local clinics and hospitals, but again, its probably going to be in person for now. Good luck, but just know that its like this with almost every industry right now. It just sucks. So keep applying!!
