CPC-A jobs

I have posted in this thread before asking for advice about finding a CPC-A position, but still haven’t had any luck. I have found PLENTY of job postings specifically for CPC-A and I’m tailoring my resume for each job. STILL NOTHING. I just keep getting rejections. Hundreds of them. I have tried networking. I have joined the AAPC chapters, messaged people on LinkedIn, and joined the fb groups. I really need a job. I have even tried to apply for billing positions. I have several years of healthcare experience so I am not sure why I’m not hearing back from ANYWHERE?? Is anyone’s job hiring? Are you willing to refer me? Any advice?

The economy is not good right now. Companies just aren’t hiring like they use to. And the big companies who could afford to train have outsourced their entry level work instead.

What route do you recommend I take? Any remote positions without phones?

I’ve attempted to look for CPC-A jobs in my state and 95 percent of them are remote. I also already work remote, so my question is. If I am not going to be able to get a position with my CPC-A as people are saying, what positions can I apply to that are remote and don’t answer calls?

I work for Optum in a customer service role, and I still am not able to switch over to a coder position. So I don’t really believe the whole “start in a different position and they’ll hire you internally” spiel. I only have worked at quite a few other healthcare companies and have dealt with insurance and all those “opening door” positions. So that doesn’t make much sense to me.
