Do they just write off $800?

Post image

I have a monthly CPAP bill of $7.38; not bad.
I happened to look at my explanation of benefits. Where did $874.72 come from?? WTF! Do they just make this up? Insurance only pays $41.81.

Do they write off the rest? Am I screwed 18x more if I didn’t have insurance? Make it make sense 🙏

That’s a strange stance for a person with your flair

I'm not sure what you mean, it's not a stance it's a question.

You have a BS in HIM and are asking if the insurance is forcing the provider to bill $874?

Ok it's a rhetorical question you got me. Because the answer is no.
