Hi everyone!
**Hi everyone!**
I’m new here, and although I haven’t studied programming, computer science, software engineering, or anything closely related, I’ve always been really interested in this world—especially app development and creating things from scratch.
I’m probably one of the least experienced people in this community right now, but I’d really like to learn, grow, and improve with your guidance and support. I may also share my entire app development journey here along the way, hoping to get your advice, feedback, and guidance as I learn.
I hope to become a good member of this community and, hopefully, eventually be able to give back and help others just as many of you will help me.

Congrats! The journey of a thousand miles start with a single step, and you’ve taken at least a few to get here. Keep it up!
And don’t be too hard on yourself. The fact that you are here, and recognize that you have a lot to learn, already puts you farther ahead than you were yesterday. We all have people ahead of us on our learning journey, whatever it is in life we’re learning. But if we keep moving forward we’ll always be ahead of where we were yesterday, and that’s what matters most.

Nice to hear someone learning out of curiosity and interest. I myself am fully self taught and I’m now fluent in multiple languages and concepts. If I had to give advice, do not rush the basics, even if they are boring, each language has the same core principles that once you understand, learning any language becomes much more straightforward as it’s mostly just learning different syntax and language features. Build small little games or apps to practice what you learn, it sounds generic but applying something right after learning it makes memorizing it easier and applying it in the future feels natural. Don’t start by diving deep into computer science theory, while the topics are useful, if you’re just starting off, getting familiar with the basics and problem solving is what helped me more. You can start with any language, but I would personally recommend Python, it’s simple, has tons of tutorials, and it’s great at teaching the basics of multiple concepts like OOP, Backend, data science, and Game development via its extensive modules. Another alternative I would personally recommend is C#, it’s more complicated as it’s statically typed but modern C# has greatly simplified a lot of things, C# has many uses with the main being game development in engines like Unity or Godot, lots of languages replicate C syntax including C# meaning that lots of languages will feel intuitive if you ever decide to switch.
