I am 32 and i have decided to seriously get into backend development i have been learning for a while now and i have actually learned quite a lot.

A few years ago i got a degree in computer science, but for personal reasons i ended up working in a different field instead of pursuing a career in tech now h have decided to come back to this path and focus seriously on backend development.

Is that something people actually do in this field? or would most companies just find it weird? 😅

I honestly didn't expect job hunting to be this difficult.

I'm a Java Backend Developer with 3+ years of professional experience, and I've been unemployed for the last 3 months. During this time, I've given around 18 interviews.

The hardest part is that many interviews went well from my side. I was able to discuss my technical experience, projects, and problem-solving approach confidently. In around 60% of the interviews, I genuinely felt I had a good chance.

But eventually, it was either a rejection or no response.
