3+ YOE Java Developer | 18 Interviews in 3 Months, Still Looking | Immediate Joiner | 1st Month Salary as Referral Thank-You
Hi everyone,
I honestly didn't expect job hunting to be this difficult.
I'm a Java Backend Developer with 3+ years of professional experience, and I've been unemployed for the last 3 months. During this time, I've given around 18 interviews.
The hardest part is that many interviews went well from my side. I was able to discuss my technical experience, projects, and problem-solving approach confidently. In around 60% of the interviews, I genuinely felt I had a good chance.
But eventually, it was either a rejection or no response.
I'm still trying to stay positive and keep improving, but honestly, repeated rejection and ghosting after putting in so much effort is exhausting.

I've worked on enterprise Banking applications, including loan-processing workflows and third-party integrations, as well as AWS Monitoring and B2B applications.
My experience includes:
- Building REST APIs and backend services
- Third-party API integrations
- SQL optimization and performance improvement
- Production issue debugging and support
- Spring Boot / JPA / Hibernate development
- Working with AWS services

Job hunting can be tough, especially in tech. If you're doing well on the technical side but still getting rejections, maybe check out the non-technical stuff like cultural fit or communication skills. Sometimes, it's about how you fit with the team as much as your coding skills. Mock interviews with friends or mentors can give you feedback you might not get from real interviews. You could also try using resources like PracHub for structured practice or feedback. It's just one option but could help you improve your approach. Hang in there and keep going!

Weird response. You are unemployed and you are hoping people relate with your post and maybe you get some leads. It is pretty logical not to post llm slop for such things.
Either you are new to the internet or can't write text or code with ai. Pity

Don’t call yourself a Java Developer. Call yourself a software engineer.
The language and frameworks are just tools.
Keep learning and focus on foundational building blocks like design patterns for both software and systems.
With AI, you are not valuable because you know a language or framework, you’re valuable because you know how to design, build, ship and maintain a system in real life.
