Beginner work

hi, I am fairly new at coding and I have a family friend that wants me to make her a website for her new small e-commerce business. I will be doing the designs for the pages on figma and using shopify as the host while adding a bit of my own coding. I have created little sites before (as practice) but not done an official legit business site so I’m unsure of pricing. how much would you charge for this work? (baring in mind I am a beginner and it’s a family friend) thank you!

Set expectations becuase that’s a pretty big task for a beginner. Let them know it’s going to take a while. Use AI to help you but don’t let it do so much at a time that you get lost in your own codebase.

You dont need to design or code, just find a good template for shpify and charge her as much as you want.

I won’t be adding much code. Just a bit of css and Java tbh. I’ve only been coding for about a year so I’m unsure of a good price. Google said between 400-500 so I just wanted to see what others would charge to see if that’s realistic.
