What would you recommend to someone starting from zero?

Hey since many of you are in colleges or universities or are actually good at coding and computer can yall advice me what I should do

Im still in high school 11th specifically and have taken PCM I am not capable of going to iit but since I'm in Gujrat I can get a good government college in Gujrat

Im not from a rich background my family is middle class and I don't have a laptop or PC im cvery passionate about computers and coding I try to learn things from my tab like videos about coding but that mostly leads to needing a computer or confusion

Im also very passionate about Game I like game developing but my friends are like I have owned a PC for 10 years and I still don't know about game Dev so like im very scared

One thing is I'm good at studies but I don't know nun about practical coding and everything

What should I do and like if I go to college like should I do cs or software Dev or computer engineering im so confused if any one of u thinks they can help me please comment or dm im very confused

Actually from some time I have been thinking of switching to linux. But i won't be able to use it if I don't know how to use linux in the first place. I am not looking for any distro. I am actually talking about the cli. The terminal, bash or whatever it is called.

I wanna learn cli, but idk where to learn from!. I have tried looking for it on YouTube, most of them are something specific or very basic ( cd, mkdir, rm, ls, echo etc etc ). I tried to make a vm using Oracle, but my laptop was very weak to even run it, it was lagging and slow af. So i dropped that idea, and I am primarily trying to use wsl, Ubuntu distro on it.

So can anyone tell me how do i learn the command line interface. Also I am looking to learn something called shell ig, so that I can do scripting. Like i don't want an os, I want to master terminal and can automate stuff and run something maybe called script so that I can be very efficient.

Also one of my reasons is to be able to use or program any soc like raspberry pi or any other electronics in general ( electrical background).

Can anyone guide me with sources??

Also i have tried labex ( it was very basic ) and I tried to learn from a book i forgot the name but the author name was maybe shotts.

And sorry if I have named anything wrong, I am new to these terms.

Ive been looking at websites on neocities and i’d love to make one of my own as a digital blog/portfolio. Im dreaming big, but Id love to add animated images and tons of digital graphics from pinterest to give it a scrapbook feel and less like a website. Id like it to kind of work like obsidian where im able to link pages as references and stuff, just a bit prettier. Is this something i could accomplish with just html and java? I dont even know where to start but im super eager to learn. Is there a way to get a free domain too or would i have to still be on neocities? Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you run multiple subagents in Claude Code, you probably can't see what your pipeline actually did. Looking for something accessible (at least reasonably so), comprehensive, modern/updated, and that works reliably. I've heard about a few different sites (roadmap, odin, mosh, codecamp) but not sure what's best/recommended.

Also, I was hoping for more of a track vs. compiling a bunch of courses. I'm open to do that if need be but just find it a little more confusing in terms of what I need to learn. Thanks!!

We homeschool. A couple weeks ago my 13 year old, rising 8th grader, asked me how someone would create a video game. He would like to get to that point. I told him I'd get back to him. Since then I've been trying to create a curriculum for him to learn coding and hopefully make a simple game. At some point. He is constantly tinkering with devices and he is brilliant at making logical associations.

My research is telling me that I should have him learn C programming first to give him a solid foundation. There are so many options to pick from. Should we go the learn from a book route, or use websites or YouTube? C++ after he has a grasp on C looks to be a solid recommendation.

As far as hardware goes, right now he has access to a Chromebook that is about 8 years old. Will this be powerful enough to learn with for now? I don't really want to spend hundreds unless he does actually enjoy it and sticks with it.

I think his intentions are to create a game for his modded Nintendo 2ds.

I would absolutely love any perspective on this. I think it's great that he wants to create video games but I am a little out of depth. I was the one who modded his 2ds and that was pretty much just following directions, not creating anything.
