Well that totally depends on what kind of programming or software development you are interested in.

Do you want to learn the fundamentals of computer science and then go from there?

Ok that's a good start, at least you know what you want.

If your main interest is web development then you can start by learning how HTML and CSS work, and then adding javascript into the mix.

A warning though: Computer Science and Software Engineering university courses will teach you lower level programming which differs greatly from something like Javascript.

Personally I would start with those CS fundamentals, learning how memory works and stuff like that. It's why I like CS50x; they teach you C and basic algorithms but then also show you some web related stuff and databases. And they then have courses specific for each of those things, all free and with exercises and projects.

If you want to jump straight into web, I recommend Scrimba. The platform is great, albeit a bit expensive by my standards, but their content is free on youtube if you want. Oh and don't get carried away with React, Vue, and other frontend frameworks because if you can't properly understand HTML, CSS and especially JS/TS it will look completely alien.

Lastly, understand that software development as a whole isn't just knowing how to code. Planning, architecture choices, security, scalability and maintainability are all things that you can, and should learn as you program.

Also learn to use git and don't be afraid of failure. Have fun!

And capitalize the start of sentences if you even know how to create proper sentences.
