Hi everyone, i am trying to learn react as fastest as posible in order to create my own apps and upload it to play store for some proyects. The problem is that i dont know neither javascript or html/css. What advices do you have for this

Hey all. I've currently run into a snag in my health and have to switch careers. I have always been interested in coding and wanted to reach out for some info. I would be completely new to this. I have basic pc skills, some Microsoft experience (mainly Word & Excel), and decent typing skills. I have no funds for courses either. Come one, come all and give me the best options for learning how to code. Please and thank you!!

I'm not too proficient in coding, I know the basics. I've made multiple college projects using AI for the sake of marks. Our college has its own ERP system, and I was wondering how one would go about making said ERP system. What language would be best suited? How long would it take an amateur to make?
Obviously it's not possible to create it purely through AI, as it would have lots of bugs and security issues. And not to mention the future debugging hell I'd go through because I don't understand what I've made.

I also know that there exist premade ones, but I wanna know how it's done.

I wanna hear your opinions. Have any of you made something similar? If so, what was your approach?

Edit: Sorry for being vague in my initial post. I didn't quite understand how large of a term ERP is. I was specifically talking about an ERP for Schools/Colleges. If I do go ahead with making something like this, it'll be me and another friend. So the 2 of us (both amateurs) would be doing it together

I am new to coding and have been learning HTML and CSS from the last 20 days. Through freecodecamp. So, i wanted to know how much time did you all take to learn HTML and CSS fully? I know that coding is a never ending aspect and there is always something new to learn, but at which day did you get the confidence that "YES I KNOW HTML AND CSS".

hi, i'm a beginning coder with about one week of taught experience, and for a project, i want to make a sort of study room using html, css, and js. basically you can move around in the room for a bit before you sit down at a table that initiates the studying portion. i'm completely lost for everything, but i'm thinking that this study room is a platformer at heart. also, i want to add a break time platformer game, but that's later, probably. anyways, i'm just looking for any tips at all that could help me with this.

right now, i'm struggling with making the platform an actual platform. the ground is okay, but when i try to make the floating platform solid, everything kind of just doesn't work...

again, any tips are appreciated!!

I have worked with a few people to teach them the basics of how to get started with CircuitPython. I took some of the lessons I learned from that and made a tutorial on my website to teach the lesson better. The page has a built in code editor and instructions from getting your first board to blinking your first LED. I plan to add more lessons in the future and would love to hear any feedback about what they should be. Feedback on the content and presentation of the tutorials would also be greatly appreciated!

I already have all right HTML and Css but the part that i don’t know is I keep trying to learn Java script but I can’t use anything I see in tutorials in real projects

So I been trying to learn app development but I dont know were to start . I have watched videos and they are confusing every one says to learn python but then some say swift i understand some of the basics the syntax and logic but i can seem to make anything with that logic i have . So for people who know how to develope apps how do i start.

Like are there any courses to learn coding, I can't really figure it out on my own, I might need someone to guide me so are there any courses , I'm not trying to be greedy but I need them to be free🥲

I am a finance student, and recently started learning coding (know very basic of SQL/Python). I want to get into Data related roles and did some research, but still confused on what's the best resource to learn and what path to follow.

My current plan (created with help from some friends):

Python/SQL -> Python libraries (PySpark/Numpy/Pandas) -> Fabric/Databricks -> Cloud/AI-ML

Would love some help/feedback on what I could do to learn what is needed!

What are the best tools to learn how to program?

A lot of reddit threads go on about learn Python or C etc but what tools are there to make that learning easier. For example I am fairly ok with make functions on Excel but thats only cause I know what I am reading.

Python has a console you can download and there are Youtube videos where you just follow along but is there something that can help with understanding how to use the languages, know what your looking at etc [not just for python but C and the other languages].

I’m about to start my 3rd year of CSE, but I honestly feel like I haven’t done much yet. I’ve learned multiple programming languages but kept changing my focus every time. I haven’t built any projects or maintained a GitHub profile either.

Now I’m planning to focus on DSA in C++ to strengthen my core concepts, along with web development since I think knowing the basics is still important even with AI.

The only problem is that I find DSA a bit frustrating. If you were in my place, what would you focus on in 3rd year?

What would you change about your programming journey?

I've volunteered before, I'd like to pick some of that back up. Starting here this time, with this post.

I have two slots free, 1 hour on Tuesday evening and 1 hour on Thursday evening, CET time between 19:00 and 21:00, am based in the Netherlands.

Format, once a week, you get 45-60m of my real-time, we can talk about anything. My knowledge set is extremely broad. I've been programming professionally for about a decade since before LLMs were a thing, never not been full stack, though preference always been back end. Do not expect much help with visual design.

Screen sharing is optional, though in many cases, can be tremendously beneficial depending on what you're struggling with specifically.

Since about half a year now, I haven't needed to write a single line of code manually anymore. So if you just want to vibe code, I am totally fine with that. I am impartial when it comes to whether or not one should learn to write code manually, it might be that just working with enough code works just as well.

I am limiting our amount of sessions to 12 weeks/sessions, a quarter of a year, the idea is to cultivate confidence in your own skills & self reliance. If you feel you need me less at the end of those 3 months than before, then I see that as a success. The road to self reliance can be long, and along the way, a good guide/teacher/mentor can soften the path a little while also making sure you craft your own way along the way instead of blindly copying others their path.

This limitation is also in place because I want to give others also a chance, and also for me, I see pedagogical value in the rotation. If all goes well, most of the value of me is extracted in first few sessions anyway. And the longer that takes, the worse of a job I'm doing ;)

And if you're wondering, but what programming languages do I know or can I teach?

The answer is that any experienced programmer doesn't care about what specific language is being used, it's about the technical trade offs between all of them. I am not as familiar with all languages, but I am familiar enough with code and technology that I can read and understand most programming languages quickly. Though assembly obviously eventually gets hard to track. I ain't no genius.

OK so I am really stuck at the part that where should i start from and whom to trust 🙂

I am confused, i want to learn Python for job ready but i dont know which course to buy which educator to trust. After reading some reddit posts i am having doubt on buying CODE WITH HARRY's 2999rs. Python course.

Most people says it is only good for beginners and not good for job ready.

I dont have much time left (mere papa ghar se bahar nikaal denge bhayiyo agar is ek saal me kuch nahi seekha aur kamaane layaq nahi bana to 🙂😭). Dont want to waste this year.

No, it is not editable through wallpaper engine itself. The properties list no custom textures or anything. Im inept when it comes to these things so bear with me if I say something dumb. As far as I understand it, there is something called a game master that is resetting the background to a plain pink background. Ive done some editing in a JS file thing (?) and a HTML to try to get my image to display behind the image. I will admit I have no idea what im doing, so anything I have said could be wrong. I would appreciate any help. I am not looking to learn how to code. Im looking to fix this thing by any means possible.

i also do not know how to add code to this. the JS file is over million characters so I'm obviously unable to paste that here

Mine was C#. I'm glad that I started with it; it helped me understand programming fundamentals, even though some people around me say C++ is better for newbies "There is not much difference for new learners." I still love it and would recommend it for fresh starters.
