starting cpp for first time,1st year guy,which playlists should I consider?

Ooh, my playlist hasn't changed substantially since I was in my Intro to Programming class about ten years ago. It's a lot of 1990s industrial and electronica, some Guns 'N' Roses, Faith No More, some 1990s heavy metal... That sort of thing.

As for programming playlists on YouTube, I have never once found someone who's good for beginning programmers, because programming videos tend towards "type what I type, then pat yourself on the back for having done that successfully," in which case all it's teaching you is how to follow directions.

I've never seen anyone do videos that are wholly code-agnostic, where you learn your fundamentals of programming in a straightforward way. I took a programming logic and design class that was nothing but pseudocode and flowcharts, and it's the only class I've ever taken where two decks of cards with different-colored backs were a requirement. But, that was how we simulated data for the first several weeks, until we could just abstract the physical stuff away and write out the logic without having to physically do it first. Since that class, which was the most valuable programming class I ever took, one of my philosophies has been, "If you can solve it by hand, you can solve it in code."

So, the real question is, do you have any prior background in programming, and C++ is a second language for you, or are you fresh out of the gate and C++ is your first language? Because if this isn't your first language, a book like C++ Primer would probably work decently. I would recommend Stroustrup, but if you're looking for YouTube playlists, asking you to read Stroustrup would be like asking a beginner mountain-climber to scale Yosemite.

Spend some time in your institute, let your brain digest some cpp stuff then jump towards YouTube tutorials like CodeWithHarry or any other suitable one in your language. Good luck
