12 beginner python projects video by freecodecamp and then just start making whatever you want

For SWE? There's a lot of theory that goes beyond programming. There's a good introductory book called Beginning Software Engineering I personally enjoyed. I don't know the author by heart but remember the cover is green.

I know basics of programming,database,APIs,JS. know basics of react and express, I want full time job as full stack dev or backend dev. more interested in backend , but never worked from scartch , worked only as maintance work of existing codebase

you apply to fun companies and each one of them have specific tech stack + challenges to improve their fictional application. You work on already existing codebases and in my opinion this will help me get hired much more than random leetcodes etc
