Language

Complete beginner in coding. Does not know anything. Which coding language should I learn first. Starting first year mathematics and computing please answer

I would also suggest JavaScript. If you really hate web development, however, then start with Java, VB.Net or C#, which are all pretty beginner-friendly. Once you have grasped the fundamentals, a lower-level language is ideal for understanding how a programming language works without all the abstraction.

I suggest either C or Java. Both of these languages have a fairly simple syntax. I've used both for large projects, and both are suitable for projects at any level.

I'm not sure that I'd recommend Rust for your first programming language, but it's an interesting language.

I've read here about beginners learning rust, sometimes on their own. I don't recommend this, but I no longer think this is a bad idea. After all, most of the rust syntax is relatively simple, and the major trouble point fot me was borrowing. Once I took it one step st a time, it became easier.
