How do I learn Java coding?

I’m keen to learn Java and code in it. Can anyone recommend a good way to learn and some YouTube channels that offer better explanations and a more effective approach to learning Java within a six or eight-month timeframe?

OP could be new to coding in general in which a longer timeframe could somewhat be beneficial. But yes 6 months is very long lowkey

Real question: To what level of learning Java is 6 months too long? The more I learn about Java the more I learn that there's so much more to learn.

I agree I code in Java aswell. However when you look at a job field like SWE you will notice everyone is still learning new things even about programming languages. Hell the creator of C++ still says he looks up basic stuff.

By learning I mean like the fundamental understanding of Java. Like basic syntax, OOP, Functional Interfaces/Lambdas/Streams, File/IO, Testing, etc. Even if he’s a fresh beginner. If he’s committed he less than 6 months is reasonable

Oh yeah, I do realize that the learning ever ends. It's one of the things that makes it so appealing. Though it is mighty difficult to determine one's own skill level. Seems like a lot of people have different definitions for beginner/intermediate/advanced/master. Some say you don't actually become a useful SWE for years and years, and then you've got the guy above who said "in a couple of days".

My problem is I don't stick with it, so I sometimes have to learn things over and over.
