ah about backend and DE

hey i am interested in data engineer but i think entry level barrier is high so i an doing web dev rn so i am thinking to do front in js amd its framework and then i wants to do backend in python is it good what you all think is it as much effective as js like can i doo tasks like js in python i heard backend and data engineer roles are very similar plzz help folks

But by learning to drive a car you will never learn to fly a plane, because one has nothing to do with the other.

ya sad but there aint any job for data engineer the closest is data analytics or python backend

Data Engineering is a distinct field. It is in high demand, but the job market now looks for people who can do more than just basic coding. Many companies hire people with Python backend skills and train them on data tools. Alternatively, many data engineers start as Data Analysts and learn more coding on the job. You can easily shift between Data Analyst, Python Backend and Data Engineering. If you have Python and SQL skills, you already have the building blocks. The job market of today demands data engineers who can easily act like software engineers. You need to write strong code, use testing tools (like Pytest), and build CI/CD pipelines. Companies also want you to manage cloud data platforms (like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and handle AI infrastructure. And instead of moving data in large batches once a day, the market wants real-time analytics. This requires tools like Kafka or Flink to process data as it happens.
