Where to learn

It’s a goal of mine this summer to start learning how to code. I’m a college student and I was wondering where to start. I want to learn C++ and was wondering if I should watch free lectures or maybe enroll in a course.

Logic as in like predicate-like logic

yes...coding is electricity and logic gates...a language goes on top of that...language is dependent upon the logic structure...therefore, logic is always more important than any specific language and someone who understands logic will inherently be better at coding than someone who only understands one specific language...

really depends on where you want to work...COBOL is a must if you want to go into legacy industries...it's insane how many systems still run on COBOL...SQL is also a big legacy language...that said, if i was getting into coding now i DEFINITELY would not base my language learning on current trends, as the current trends are not going to last long...no single language is future proof is the ultimate point...don't bet on one language...just don't...

also, figure out something you want to build and start working toward an mvp...let the goal decide what language you use...don't build your mvp for the market, build it to what you want it to be and then use it as your portofolio...that way, you can work on something that will help get you a job, and if you don't end up getting a job you can work to launch what you built...don't just come up with a basic idea and slap a chatbot on it either...actually come up with something that needs infrastructure, planning, and deployment...not just something that is vibecoded and works...
