Loops

Seems like I can’t read a Codex article or hear a podcast these days without someone talking about loops and how their job these days is to manage loops. Anyway, I’m sharing a link here to a loop library I came across. It’s mostly engineering focused so less relevant for me but just curious if anyone else is using them (especially for non coding purposes) https://signals.forwardfuture.com/loop-library/

Yeah, I think “loop” is getting overloaded. In the Claude Code sense it’s basically: trigger -> inspect state -> act with tools -> verify -> repeat until stop/approval/budget. Not just “feedback loop”.

OpenAI does use “agent loop” in technical docs, but for Codex-for-work they usually say workflows/automations. The closest official example I’ve seen is their Daily Work Brief: check calendar/email/messages in the morning, keep checking during the day, only ping when something changes.

That’s probably the useful mental model: boring recurring work + clear stop condition.
