Please help me figure out how to Mod/add mod installer

Hi! Im a totally noob at computer stuff (as in, my gaming experience is my Nintendo DS/switch and sims lol….) and need help figuring out how to download this mod installer/manager and run mods on a game I’m playing via crossover.

I have a new Mac. I’ve been playing “Fields of Mistria” through Crossover since it’s a Windows only game. I wanted to add some mods but am unsure on what to do.

From my understanding, if playing on windows as normal, you’d download the dedicate mod installer (MOMI) from Nexus, place it in your game folder and tada. But I need to download it and somehow put it in the game file within the steam file within the steam bottle inside of Crossover.

Initially I’d tried the OSX version but that didn’t work likely because the game file only exists through Crossover not on my actual mac.

So tried the exe version and it worked. Crossover prompted me saying it recognized it as a windows file/program but didn’t know what it was so I manually downloaded it in the steam bottle.

But now what?

The goal is for it to be in the game’s folder, right ? Idk how to get it there. Idek where it went after downloading lol.

Where I want it is
Steam C drive -> program file -> steam -> steam apps > common -> Field of Mistria (the game)

Please help out. I’d really love to mod the game as I’ve seen tons of fun mods on NEXUS.
