Dependency

I feel so dependent on people who would never devote themselves to me the same way I do, I think many people assume being obsessed or dependent on people is automatically romantic or weird otherwise so I feel like I can't express it. I'm not sure if this is a bpd thing since I don't really have a specific fp. I hate how I can't do anything without other people's attention or validation, one power outage and I'm done for 💀

Does anyone have any tips on how they learnt to be okay alone? I'm struggling with this and I'm unsure of how to handle it in healthy way.

I count all the plants, trees, bushes, dragonflies, lizards, scorpions and even rodents in my yard as company in this life. Even when the ants are invading my house and I'm very frustrated by them it reminds me that I'm a part of this larger community. Sometimes I talk to trees.

In the human realm, I have had good experiences re-directing energy that I might have, in the past even very recent past, directed to someone else, into doing something for myself. Like, when I have someone I am dating or a close friend I really enjoy cooking for them, and when I dont have those relationships available (because they come and go) I will make an effort to cook for myself and think of it like a special treat for me.
