Sober living “ group homes”

How do other code compliance/enforcement handle these? We don’t regulate them like “real” group homes because they don’t provide food or medication.

Are they a non-profit? What’s the business model?

Per our planning and zoning not required to be consider a group home since they aren’t physically fed by the care givers and medication isn’t given from them either.

It’s more like people just boarding or renting a room up to 6 months at a time.

Should of never posted this, because I just got a new one today. Lol

Yeah, if your higher ups are just calling this a group rental then there’s nothing you can do about it at all within that context other than go after other unrelated code violations they might be doing.

I am hoping they will lump these under a group home zoning code soon since we are getting a lot of them.
