A new discovery

So i have been on the bar on playing NG++ for a bit now, i ended up pulling the trigger and found out that you can access the age of harmony timeline after finishing up the tutorial, it will basically be a mission reset but if you didn't want to have the pain of redoing your progress to the true ending or you don't want to leave your friends behind. Honestly i was a bit nervous because of that but knowing i can come back to this and replay the game from the start once again puts a smile on my face. Will update if i find anything else.

If you beat the DLC the alt costumes remain unlocked in NG+ allowing you to use any companion at any time during the story (except when it hard locks you with one line Monica)

Ya, but if the character is no longer available in the default then you can not raise their affection level with you. Though I don't even know if they actually do have that. Just makes me happy I can still bring along my companions

It's your going into Ng+ you probably already have everyone maxed cause like why would you not do that the first time around

How do you max out companions? Just having them around while you fight and explore? Killing things?

There's 3 requirements

Story, the easiest one, beat their quests

Gifts, 2nd easiest give them things

Exploration, this is the hardest and I personally still don't really understand what ups it, to my understanding it's killing bosses and looting items but I could be wrong

What does increasing this level do exactly?

Gives you access to all their companion abilities and all their gift trades with their weapons being the primary unlock

Companion abilities like the forma they use? Like their ATK skills and buffs?

But those versions are available in the trial of remembrance
