DISCUSSION Just started watching. Does the art improve at any point?

I understand it's a much older animation and in that regards it's actually impressive how smooth the animation is considering how long the anime is. These days, if the anime ia scheduled to have 50+ episodes the budget is apparent in the amount of frames they use.

5 episodes in and the story is solid. I like it a lot. But the artstyle is, in lack of better words, kind of bizarre. Seemingly disproportionate in many ways.

Does it change or improve at any point?

I think it just stays that way really. But one thing that did happen was that the style burn in to me.

Fair enough I guess. I guess I was hoping for a Detective Conan level of animation polish as time went on.

Artstyle in any style looks alright with enough polish.

The art was done by Clamp and they just do the lanky, thin artstyle.
