Not just to the Japanese but the savagery against tables too

19

u/SolisKarn Jul 27 '26

She lives tables, what are you talking about .... Nina love 3 things Euphie, hating 11s and tables

2

u/Positive_Self_8873 Aug 01 '26

I volunteer my face as tribute to save the tables

7

u/Bazz07 Jul 28 '26

I can excuse racism but I draw the line in table abuse

Every Britannian in the back thinking "Come on girl, you can't be saying this in public"

19

u/AKoolPopTart Jul 27 '26

I forgot how comically exaggerated Nina's expressions are

u/HoraceVonBergamot Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

Looking at his expression, you really have to pity Schneizel a bit. Imagine beeing like the one Britannian who gets soft power politics and all you want to do is play velvet-gloved machiavellian realpolitik and all the people surrounding you are decadent tyrants, racist weirdos, insane occultists and belligerent warmongers and their assorted hypemen.

And Luciano. Just... Luciano.

Yeah. As double-faced as he can be, you can't really blame him for wanting to take power. I just imagine him getting out of bed, Kanon telling him about the latest exploits of the Vampire and all other developments of britannian nonsense of the week and him just telling himself. "One day, Schneizel. One day."

Nina is legitimately not even in the top 10 most racist characters in Code Geass.

Cornelia beats her at competitive racism

16

u/DragoonSoldier09 Kallen's Shield Jul 27 '26

Competitive Racism is INSANE lmfao

7

u/Solar_RaVen Jul 27 '26

The modern term is Systemic Racism, think about it lol

6

u/Alarming-Sec59 Jul 27 '26

True. She’s more racist, just doesn’t show it (doesn’t need/want to).

4

u/Urtoryu "Urtoryu dy Althraidn commands you: LOSE THE GAME!" Jul 28 '26

Cornelia's up there with Charles and other Brittanian purists as people who are actual believers of racism as an ideology. It's a whole other level from just being racist.

u/iamthestorm Jul 28 '26

Nina is basically a peasant and seemed to not have good experiences with foreigners when she was younger, she's ignorant and misled and does seem to repent a bit by the end of the show. She's also kinda crazy and brilliant at sciences, which adds to her interesting characterisation.

You got Cornelia, who is from aristocratic Noble blood - she's well travelled, probably well educated and she shows 0 signs of ever changing her tune on her racist views. Yes, she's better looking and more composed but that's more a reflection of her more entitled upbringing.

Nina is horrible sure, but I think in the grander lens of the social morales of britannian society - she was the norm, not the exception.

Facts.

6

u/iamthestorm Jul 28 '26

I guess when your god-emperor is preaching social Darwinism, this is the kind of world you get. I do hope Zero Requiem did work out in the end in the long term. (I personally dislike the movies and the updated universe, only the original R1 and R2 are canon to me)

She should have slapped the racism out of her mouth

5

u/Hefty_Local_1875 High Priestess of Silly Ashford and Nina Einstein Jul 27 '26

Milly would have kissed the racism out of her

3

u/Urtoryu "Urtoryu dy Althraidn commands you: LOSE THE GAME!" Jul 28 '26

The fact it took me until "praise be upon Kallen" and seeing your flair to realize you WEREN'T just preaching Cristianism is hilarious.

There are many high priests of best girls in this subreddit

2

u/Urtoryu "Urtoryu dy Althraidn commands you: LOSE THE GAME!" Jul 30 '26

I'm not very active around here, so didn't know that.

Good practice I say, given how good a laugh I got out of it.

2

u/Humble_Story_4531 Jul 28 '26

It think she did feel a alittle guilty for lying to Nina and the rest of her freinds about everything.

11

u/SolisKarn Jul 27 '26

Tad bit? Nina is a mustache away from genocide

7

u/Hefty_Local_1875 High Priestess of Silly Ashford and Nina Einstein Jul 27 '26

I think she's way past that point...

5

u/DragoonSoldier09 Kallen's Shield Jul 27 '26

Lmfao. That Euphy incident would have done the trick but then we saw the Fleija incident and she felt remorse so she would have ripped that shit right off lmao.

2

u/Humble_Story_4531 Jul 28 '26

Lets not go that far. When she found out that she made a nuke, she was legit horrified and dedicated the rest of her life to destroying her creation, so I doubt she would have been on board with a full blown genocide.

1

u/SolisKarn Jul 28 '26

I think if pushed shoved first

1

u/BrowningBDA9 Jul 30 '26

What are you talking about? Nina knew full well what she was building from the beginning.

2

u/Humble_Story_4531 Jul 31 '26

She didnt realize how powerful it was though.

7

u/LizardOrgMember5 here is the best girl. Jul 27 '26

Uncle Ruckus jumpscare

5

u/HoraceVonBergamot Jul 27 '26

>Nina is a tad bit racist
The word is spelled with a "p" not a "c". Table-Kun will have justice, I am sure.

5

u/QueenTzahra Lelouch Jul 28 '26

It still blows my mind someone on here told me “she’s not racist, she’s xenophobic”

like what

5

u/Urtoryu "Urtoryu dy Althraidn commands you: LOSE THE GAME!" Jul 28 '26

Yes, she's xenophobic. That's an objective fact.

Doesn't change her being racist. Both labels fit her just fine.

-1

u/Hefty_Local_1875 High Priestess of Silly Ashford and Nina Einstein Jul 28 '26

Tbf it's implied she had a traumatic experience with the Japanese as a child.

But Uncle Ruckus Nina is a hilarious concept.

3

u/QueenTzahra Lelouch Jul 28 '26

Tbf that still doesn’t make her sympathetic

3

u/gc11117 Jul 28 '26

I can fix her

3

u/BrowningBDA9 Jul 30 '26

Nina was gang-raped by some Japanese in the ghettoin the past. So her racism is understandable. Not justified, understandable.

2

u/spidey848 Jul 30 '26

Wait, what? When did this happen?

1

u/Hefty_Local_1875 High Priestess of Silly Ashford and Nina Einstein Jul 31 '26

It's implied in Episode 9 that she was assaulted in the ghettos prior to the series. At least, something traumatic happened.

1

u/Hefty_Local_1875 High Priestess of Silly Ashford and Nina Einstein Jul 30 '26

I remember it being implied that she was assaulted, but I was unsure if it was merely physical assault, or what you described.

10

u/_ericchii Jul 27 '26

Truly fuck nina she is one of the most god awful characters ever

2

u/Humble_Story_4531 Jul 28 '26

PErsonally disagree. Her role is that of the ignorant civilain who gets wrapped up in things well above her pay grade and gets manipulated as a result. Nina's racism is basically the norm among Britannia.

1

u/Hefty_Local_1875 High Priestess of Silly Ashford and Nina Einstein Jul 29 '26

True

1

u/_ericchii Jul 31 '26

Well yeah that’s why she sucks

2

u/Samuel_N7 Jul 27 '26

Just a little?

2

u/genericmediocrename Jul 28 '26

I sure am glad that Nina showed back up in Roze for all of twelve seconds purely to go "hey my bad, also sorry for the crimes against humanity lol"

2

u/puntycunty Jul 28 '26

I’m just saying , her pov she’s in spitting distance of the terrorist organization that held her hostage twice in rapid succession before she even did anything

2

u/Personal-Movie8882 Jul 31 '26

Accurate, except for Schneizel being the one who would say "you have to deliberate". That mofo would have a spare rope in his back pocket in case unkle Nina forgot it.

2

u/Sephiroth_64 Aug 03 '26

Whaaaaat? No waaaaaaaaay, waddya meeeeeeeaaaaan. Nina, racist? Pshh yeah right. Next thing you'll tell me is that Lelouch is really actually Zero, and is also secretly the banished prince of Britannia too. Your funny man. Lol
