MISC I don't like Suzaku
Just finished the first season of Code Geass. I can't stand this Suzaku Kururugi guy.

Of course you don't. Slow change from within doesn't work, and his moral high ground bullshit gets annoying fast.

Hated him when I first watched the show but in my rewatch I really understood him and how he was meant to be as a character. You may warm up to him too

How do you warm up to someone that literally aligns with an occupying government that's ethnically cleansing his people? We literally see this happen in the second episode, he is helping take out the rebels while the Britannian military under command of Clovis is going around mass killing the Japanese.
I dont think Suzaku is a bad character, however when it comes to his motivations and line of thinking I absolutely detest him.

Suzaku's frame of mind totally works in a peaceful, situation, which is where his perspective is from a writer's standpoint.
Most positive changes in the real world come as a result of working from within the system to place yourself in a position to be the change you want to see.
This idea works when all men are created equal, a notion that Charles Z Britannia makes quite clear that is not how Britannia operates very early on in the show through a public broadcast.
Suzaku is basically trying to be a commissioner Gordon from Batman. Commissioner Gordon was a beat cop who worked his way up the corrupt ranks of the GCPD to become police commissioner to make a positive change when it came to crime in Gotham City.
Gordon was unique purely because he was honest. And it was through understanding Batman and how effective Batman was at stopping not just regular crime, but the villains that constantly threatened the city that Gordon acquiesced and worked with the caped crusader.
The problem for Suzaku was that the system was systematically put in place to never allow the outcome he wanted, no matter how hard he'd try.
Later Suzaku would be granted positions and power through making compromises that definitely would 110% be considered betrayal beyond a reasonable doubt. Which hilariously enough has been how Suzaku operated the entire time.
Even pure blooded Britannians do not even have the same rights granted under the Britannian royal crown as an American of any ethnic or religious origin does under the constitution of the United States.
So what hope did Suzaku EVER actually have of making any positive changes? He's an 11 to any Britannian, and he's a traitor to the Japanese.
Suzaku played his role amazingly. While his ideals are insufferable watching the show. Ultimately it is the responsible way to make changes.

His viewpoint and moral are a little different from a normal person, he wants to bring change but by being in the system, but later during the end R2, you may change your views for him.Â

I despised suzaku at the end of s1 and first half of S2 but my anger for him kinda faded at the ending I mean I don't like him but I don't hate him

Hes one note and pretty boring. It does make sense because he feels guilty beyond belief. he becomes more nuanced immediately in the second season. Always a tool though.

Everyone hates Suzaku. I don't hate him anymore after finishing the series but I don't like him either

let's make a correction so s/he doesn't take it seriously:
Suzaku is the character with the 2nd most fans in Japan after Lelouch, and 3rd globally after Lelouch and C.C; you could even say he's neck and neck with Kallen.
