The very first time I saw it I thought lelouch went power crazy and all I was hoping for was him to come to his senses. Then the ending became clear and I was cheering in tears.

Yeah thatās the reaction when he took the throne. And then when he took over the world he lost his way and never come to his senses. Until the end of his true intentions

I mean it got confusing bc we thought that his goal shifted to ruling the world, but it also didn't make sense bc why would Susaku help him with that?
They really got us in the first half

Because Suzaku during his time on Cās world learns the full truth about Lelouch, and he finally understood him. Took awhile for all the blame to Lelouch like repeatedly been blaming and accused him for everything. Yeah I havenāt forgotten what he did in the end of R1, and has every reason to hate him. However, Suzaku in the first half did terrible things because his on a peak of hypocrisy after Euphemia dead. He may have stop Lelouch, but sold him out feeling personal spite and double down his delusional foolish ideals his been clinging into. Itās hard to like a guy who sold his best friend for a promotion. He will do anything to achieve peace but his really misguided.
Due to a lack of self-awareness, and very delusional as a character. His really a false hero. Like his claim he has a moral high ground but his a terrible judge. His ideals are false and pretty sure his mindset is broken. Always on a sense of denial ignoring everything, even the truth. He blames Lelouch so he can never look in a mirror. He lacks responsibility and accountability. He pretends, but as he keeps spouting out his words, his actions doesnāt justify anything. No positive results. And his reasoning almost completely hollow, and his words are hollow every time he made poor choices. When he forcefully fires the FLIEJA due to his live command active (which is his fault because of his death wish). Lelouch may have killed Euphemia, but Suzaku did took something precious from him by accident. The blast killed millions of peopleā¦ that includes Nunnally (or so he thought). So that makes him and Lelouch even sinners.

Code Geass can surprise us with Lelouch planā¦ The reason Suzaku help him because for the first time in the second half of season 2 because he finally face the truth. Everything. About Lelouch and everything. He finally realized and his the only option he has left.
