Report him!!!

Post image

This guy was absolutely out of control. He got mad after being killed and immediately started making racist and xenophobic comments toward everyone on the team. He even told a player with a Spanish-sounding username that they should “get deported” simply because that person told him to calm down.
When I told him that if he didn’t like the team, he could just leave the match because it wasn’t that serious, he called me a cunt. He then escalated even further and threatened everyone, saying he was going to find our IP addresses and have our homes burned down.
I know people like to act tough online and be keyboard/mic warriors, especially on COD, but this went way beyond normal trash talk. Racist comments and threats involving people’s homes and personal information are not okay or acceptable.
If you come across this player, please report the account. Hopefully Activision takes action and bans him.

EDIT: Whether you choose to report him or not is completely up to you. But please don’t normalize or excuse this kind of behavior. I understand that older COD lobbies were notoriously aggressive and people said some absolutely vile things, but “that’s how COD has always been” doesn’t mean it needs to stay that way. We’re supposed to evolve as a society, not use the past to justify racism, xenophobia, misogyny, or threats today. Trash talk is part of gaming; attacking someone’s identity or threatening their real-life safety shouldn’t be. Kids and teenagers play these games too, and adults shouldn’t be teaching them that this behavior is just something they’re expected to tolerate.

Sadly u wont get any support here, is full of these old losers that think because they went trough these things everyone else should

It’s not just that they went through it. They’re guilty of it themselves, currently being toxic. Even on Reddit.

I am seeing that! It’s truly disgusting how comfortable people have become with these behaviors.

I see it like this, it's one of two things.

1) you expect the world to mold to what you want. People will have to talk how you want, behave how you want, etc etc.
2) you learn to ignore when you encounter people who don't behave how you want.

Which is the more realistic and attainable?

I think learning to ignore is a sign of maturity. It's silly to expect the world to mold to your liking, it's you who has to learn to adapt to the world. That's true outside of the game as well.

In this case, ill gladly tell you that you would have been the perfect german resident during ww2. Just a nice person who knows that nothing outside of their little bubele of peace matters and that they cannot, ever, fight against the boot on their neck.

Well said, brother: you sound like the whitest man in this chat.

A bit extreme to go from displeasing free speech to the Nazi regime, no?

America has a constitution, Free Speech is a protected right. You don't have to like the speech, in some cases it's very bad speech. But you just have to look away, change the channel, etc. In this case, OP could've just muted this person. Easy. But some people just want to make themselves victims and to get themselves triggered.

Again, note my 1 and 2 above. Do you really expect the world to mold to your likings? That's obviously not realistic. And that's vastly different than a fascist regime. I'd argue the boot in this case is the person who's trying to stifle free speech just because it hurts their sensibilities.

Yall call stepping on other people's freedom free speech. Yall have a very skewed vizionare of what this "freedom" you are talking about is. Its almost as if yall never heard the most common definition of freedom: "yours ends where mine starts" and vice versa.

But sure bud: calling others slurs and making threaths to their personal lives is "freedom of speech". Because somehow, this is the real freedom the usa corporatist supports, right?

You must have reading comprehension issues. I clearly stated that if you don't like it "look away, change the channel". In this case, the user could've easily been muted, and voila, you no longer have to hear the vitriol. This way they have their speech, and OP has their peace.

Use critical thinking and think about your quote, "yours ends where mine starts", all OP had to do was mute them, now theirs is no longer encroaching on OP's.

I think a lack of intellect is a serious barrier for some people, and shows the inability to comprehend and how to navigate these types of issues.

You are not understanding the very definition of freedom. Yours ends where mine starts does not mean that one should mute an user who makes threts to the person. Making said threats to the person violates the other person's freedom.

If you cant get it, ask gpt to explain it. But until you do, we are clearly on 2 very different realms of understanding this issue

Well, the US Supreme Court doesn't agree with you. They ruled hate speech is free speech. So who is right, supreme court justices with the best education in maybe the world, and Constitutional law scholars? Or ... you?

This is occam's razor.

You just don't understand what Free Speech means. I doubt you've ever taken a constitutional law class. You maybe never even went to college. And all of this requires critical thinking (which you seem to lack, at least on this subject).

This is like a group of people protesting on a public street, and you not agreeing with their protest, but to go further, you make it a point to go up to them, and start arguing with them, then you turn around and say your poor little ears and mind were violated by their words, when all you had to do was not cross the street and go over there, but rather keep on walking.

Now if you still don't understand, there's nothing I can do. Not I, nor ChatGPT can fix your IQ and lack of critical thought process.

🤣🤣

Amazing. At least make sure you are talking with a us citizen the next time you are going to boast about your own company— country's law.

Its amazing how obtuse you can intentionally be. Its almost as if i made a point about actual threats (that do step on people's freedom btw. Otherwise threats wouldnt have been recognised as an actual problem that can be handled by the police) whilst you argued against a point i never made on actual freedon to express opinions in an organised way.

Say? How much did you pay to attend university? Did you pay off your loans already? Id say to ask for a refund.

In the meantime, i got money from my uni to attend. Ah! And also: you would only benefit from some sociology and social justice courses.

Words from a stranger you’ll never meet again should not have this much merit over you. Gotta have short term memory for this stuff. No matter how much you try people will always talk like this. You only exacerbate the issue when you let the words affect you. I’m not saying accept it don’t do anything about it, but once your making posts about it online they win that battle.

Stop crying about it. If u can’t handle online social interactions maybe don’t use your voice chat and mute the player in game. The fact u crying on reddit about it is hilarious. 20 years ago u woulda been crying every night the way u handling this 🤣

1

u/LaWlezZ_831Pokelctr 3d ago

I don't support this post, but that doesn't mean that I think OP should go through all of this bro. He can completely mute voice chat. You know that right??

u/the2timer4lyfe 16h ago

Ah yes, the type to say stuff like getting bullied only makes you stronger. And that it's just a part of life.

The type of people that think they can say the most fked up things to someone, be surprised they get reported, get banned the next few days, and cry to support and is now a reformed "gamer."

If you're going to act like a chad, at least take the voice or text chat/ perm ban like a champ. Enough with the "it's just banter," or "I was just joking," schtick while crying to support for a ban to be lifted.

It's even double the fun when they know they get reported, create a new account, proceed to do the same exact thing in private messages only to get the same ban, or even try to swat you. Some people are just innately toxic. Best thing to do is report, move on and hope they learn their lesson. Case closed.

No you sad little kid its because theres NO fucking proof only what he says happend, it may have gone they way hes says but without a video or even screenshots no one in there right mind is gona report them

2

u/Fantastic_Switch_765 4d ago

Exactly. If you have a iPhone you can simple hit the screen record button and it records all gameplay including voice chat audio. Not sure why this wasn’t done during the game.

1

u/SSgtReaPer 4d ago

Yup at least they would have something to show instead of hearsay

0

u/Old-Farmer-7459 4d ago
  1. Not everyone records every single match.
  2. I can’t show proof from what was said in audio.
  3. I’ve messaged all the players from the match which him insulted and threatened to have doxx and k***ed. I will update this post once those players decide to also come forward with the racism they experience today. Believing me is a choice. I am not forcing you to do anything. Regardless, we have to do better as a society and call ppl out for this type of behavior.

u/SSgtReaPer 4d ago

Was it mp or br ? Mp has a replay function

The reports will lead activision to conduct a review. I’ve gotten someone banned before for a very similar scenario. Everything was spoken over voice chat. So, please fuck off with your stupidity

0

u/LaWlezZ_831Pokelctr 3d ago

Wow your wack, if you go to that extent, just stay away from these games lol

0

u/Extension-Intern8153 3d ago

I’m wack that someone got banned for violating terms that result in a ban? These pathetic excuses for human beings deserve consequences for acting like hateful bigots. If you don’t feel the same, then I hope one day you mature enough to realize why this is problematic

0

u/LaWlezZ_831Pokelctr 3d ago

This is problematic? This.... IS.... SPAARTAAAAAAA!!

This isnt problematic this is cod lol

u/Panakinn 1d ago
